Flow State
ABOUT
Flow State is my newest and most authentic series. Show cased in July 2026 at Pirate Life Brewery.
These paintings are not about what the world looks like. They are about what it feels like underneath. The currents, the pulses, the energy moving through nature and bodies and space before it settles into any fixed form. Each piece was made in a single session, in a state of total absorption where colour and brushstroke were the only language. The colour relationships in each work are deeply considered, intuited in the moment but never accidental. What you are looking at is a psychedelic breakdown of the world into its essences: movement, flow, the sensation of something alive. The forms that emerge, part organic, part cosmic, part human, were never planned. They arrived through the process of making, which is maybe the most honest way anything can arrive.

Flow State Series - Festival lights strung across the dark, figures moving underneath them. Amber, orange and teal on deep burgundy, warm and full of movement. There is something Australian in it, a late evening outdoor gathering, people together under lights. After the cosmic, the elemental, the brutal, the burnt, the series ends here. With dancing. With people. With joy.
Flow State Series - Underwater but clean. Coral colours, bubbles, a luminous sky blue ground with forms that feel almost cartoonish, almost digital. It is the most playful work in the series and the lightest. Natural and synthetic at once, like looking at a reef through very clear water on a very bright day.
A woman surfaces in the lower half of the canvas, her hair entangled with the universe itself, colour streams exploding outward like solar winds or synapses firing. A comet cuts through. She is not in the cosmos. She is the cosmos. This is where the Flow State series began and everything else in it is in conversation with her.
